The quest for private code

August 19, 2014 / by / Category : code, Meta

For the past 4 or 5 months I have been using GitHub for all my repository needs. After a meeting with my friends over at DFW Scanner I realized the need for me to make my code repositories private. I would have stuck with GitHub, but for some ungodly reason, they don’t allow private repositories under their free plan. I decided to move all my repositories from GitHub to BitBucket, and I am very glad I did!

BitBucket allows unlimited private repositories on their free plan, they have an easy to use website that allows you to collaborate with other users, and SourceTree (their desktop client) is powerful and easy to use. I would highly recommend any serious developer use BitBucker for their repository needs.
